Mondays, 10:00am - 12:00pm, $202.50

We will work on developing a favorite historical character or a character from your own family. It is an exciting way to learn about someone you love. Maybe you can be a famous president or the president’s wife, or a famous singer or actor.  You can also choose someone in your family like an aunt or grandmother. It will be a process of gathering information, organizing the information, developing the interpretation, figuring out a costume for the characters and then sharing with the rest of the class. Maximum enrollment: 12 students.

Clowning for Beginners with Shara Tonn

The famous clown, Victor Borge, said, “Laughter is the shortest distance between two people.” In this class, laughter is the number one assignment as we get to know our inner clowns. Everyone has an inner clown—it’s very close to your inner child, the part of you that is curious about the world but unsure about its rules. In this class, we get back to that place of play and discovery while learning how to express comedy with our bodies. NOTE: This class involves some movement so feel free to wear loose and comfortable clothing.
