Storytelling: Bring History Alive with Olga Loya
Mondays, 10:00am - 12:00pm, $202.50
We will work on developing a favorite historical character or a character from your own family. It is an exciting way to learn about someone you love. Maybe you can be a famous president or the president’s wife, or a famous singer or actor. You can also choose someone in your family like an aunt or grandmother. It will be a process of gathering information, organizing the information, developing the interpretation, figuring out a costume for the characters and then sharing with the rest of the class. Maximum enrollment: 12 students.
The Joy of Tap Dancing with Lucia Fanelli
5-weeks! Mondays and Tuesdays

If you have a desire to learn to tap dance and do not know the difference between a shuffle or flap, then this class is for you! This workshop is designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of tap dancing—a true beginner’s class! In this 4 lesson workshop, we will learn a few basic tap steps that will be applied to a short, upbeat combination to music that will inspire you to dance. If you enjoy this workshop, we will then offer it as a continuation in May. Come join us. Experience the fun. Now is the time to bring the joy of tap dancing into your life!
Staged Reading with Ely Orquiza

Join us this Spring to be part of a staged reading of critically acclaimed Almost, Maine by John Cariani*, a series of short plays that explore love and loss in a mythical almost-town called Almost Maine. This play is in a form of a vignette that ensures a part for everyone in the class! Open your heart, mind and soul, and come explore this wonderful, magical play in an ensemble setting! Maximum enrollment: 12 students.

Clowning for Beginners with Shara Tonn
Wednesdays, 12:00pm-2:00pm, $202.50
The famous clown, Victor Borge, said, “Laughter is the shortest distance between two people.” In this class, laughter is the number one assignment as we get to know our inner clowns. Everyone has an inner clown—it’s very close to your inner child, the part of you that is curious about the world but unsure about its rules. In this class, we get back to that place of play and discovery while learning how to express comedy with our bodies. NOTE: This class involves some movement so feel free to wear loose and comfortable clothing. Maximum enrollment: 14 students.
Introduction to Stand-Up Comedy with Yael Schy
Wednesdays, 3:30pm-5:00pm, $180
Have people often told you that you’re funny? Do you love watching comedy shows and wonder if that’s something that you can do? YES YOU CAN!!! In this fun, supportive class environment, you will get a chance to capture funny experiences from your own life and to hone your inner comedian. You will learn some tips for writing and performing stand up comedy, including lots of practice time and supportive feedback. You will also learn techniques for overcoming stage fright and letting your inner comic shine! What have you got to lose? Come laugh together and show that people of all ages can be incredibly funny! Maximum enrollment: 16 students.
Hip Hop Demystified with Judith Kajiwara
Fridays, 10:00am-11:30am, $108
This upbeat, fun, and friendly, low-impact dance class is designed to take the mystery out of hip hop. With attention to energy, weight shift, rhythm, and flow, we’ll break down the choreography so you can find your own style and vibe. Using contemporary, retro, reggae and R&B music, a choreographed dance will be cumulatively taught during each session. Class is comprised of: 1) 5 minutes of stretching and isolations, 2) 10 minutes of patterns across the floor, 3) 40 minutes of choreography, and 4) 5 minutes of cool down. All ages and levels are welcome. Please wear comfortable clothing, supportive athletic or dance shoes, and don’t forget your water bottle. For extra practice, a video will be emailed to you weekly. Maximum enrollment: 15 students.
