Volunteer with Stagebridge

“Your performance brought light and life into the lives of the elders here.” – Administrator: Center for Elders Independence

Theatre people don’t lack for imagination! Look at our opportunities below and you’ll see we’ve found many ways to volunteer. If you have another idea of how to help, let us know because we’d love to see you in action.

  • General support. Behind the scenes work is just as important as what happens in the limelight! Help us assemble marketing materials, usher at performances, make phone calls, or gather props.

  • Community outreach. Want to bring joy to someone in a retirement home? Ready to make a lasting impression on a child? Consider getting involved in our performing arts and Storytelling program.

  • Grandparent Tales. Some kids only know about older people from TV. Tell your stories and answer their questions so they can learn what it’s really like. This rewarding volunteer position takes a one day orientation.

  • Using improv and storytelling to ease the frustration of dementia. Our nationally acclaimed TimeSlips program matches volunteers with Alzheimer’s patients, helping them tell tales from the heart. This remarkable opportunity deeply impacts volunteers and participants alike. TimeSlips trainings are currently on hiatus.
